Over 40 coaches form ERSDA turned up on Saturday the 21st of February to take part in a ‘Positive Coaching’ workshop. The workshop was part delivered by Tommy Boyle who is a renowned athletics coach having worked with some of the best Scottish Athletes.

The workshops are designed to assist and develop coaches with tools that will allow them to provide support environment that young people can fully develop and enjoy the sport.

Scottish FA Regional Manager Paul McNeill said ‘it was great to see so many coaches along at the workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for the whole of sport to create a positive culture that allow young people to fully develop and master the sport without the added pressure of having to win at all costs’

Paul added ‘I would like to personally thank Chris Quinn (President of ERSDA) and his hardworking committee that make all of this possible; it is with there hard work and dedication that will allow this fundamental sporting cultural change to occur’
