It’s the National Team’s 15th visit to Edinburgh and their first game in the Capital since a 3-1 win over Australia back in 2012.
The Women’s team and the Scotland Under-21s have also played some memorable games at Easter Road and Tynecastle in recent years.
Ahead of Friday's game we've picked out the best matches that Scotland have played in Edinburgh:
Scotland 3-1 Australia - Easter Road - 2012
Jordan Rhodes scores on his international debut in a hard-fought win over Australia. Mark Brescanio’s wonder goal was cancelled out by Huddersfield striker Rhodes before a 63rd minute O.G. and Ross McCormack’s strike ensured a Scotland victory at Easter Road.
Scotland 8-0 Israel - Tynecastle Stadium - 2012
Kim Little scored a hat-trick in this Euro Qualifying rout over Israel at Tynecastle. Three goals in the first ten minutes set the tone for a game that saw Scotland score eight, make 27 attempts at goal and hit the woodwork twice. Joanne Love, Hayley Lauder, Megan Sneddon & Jane Ross also got in on the goal haul.
Scotland 4-1 Trinidad & Tobago - Easter Road – 2004
Darren Fletcher puts on a wonder performance as he opens the scoring then sets-up headed goals from Gary Holt and Gary Caldwell. Nigel Quashie seals the win for Scotland just before half-time in Berti Vogts' biggest win as National Team Manager.
Scotland 3-2 Estonia - Tynecastle Stadium - 1998
Billy Dodds was the hero in this Euro 2000 qualifier as Scotland came from behind twice to win at Tynecastle Stadium. The Dundee United striker replaced Ally McCoist and scored two memorable goals, including the all-important winner on 85 minutes.
Scotland 5-1 Wales - Hibernian Park - 1888
The Scotland football team’s first visit to Edinburgh resulted in a resounding win over Home Nations rivals Wales at Hibernian Park (Now Bothwell Street, just off Easter Road). Dumbarton Athletic forward Alex Latta scored a double on his debut.
