Three Dumfries and Galloway Girls were recently called up for theWomen's Under 15 International Challenge double header against Germany.Lois Heuchan (Castle Douglas), Emily McKerlie and Hayley Crosbie (bothDumfries) were selected to make their debut on the International stagein the recent games held at the New Ravenscraig Regional SportsFacility, Motherwell.
All three girls have been a product of the Dumfries Girls FC system whohave recently been awarded the Scottish FA Standard Quality Mark Awardwith Hayley currently playing her trade with Celtic.
All three Girls played some part in both games with Hayley and Emilyforming a defensive partnership and Lois building upon her substituteappearance in the first game to grab a place in the starting eleven inthe second fixture.
Scottish FA Football Development Officer for Dumfries and GallowayRobbie Totten said "to have three girls from this area represent theircountry at this age is something special and fantastic for the region."
"It's hoped they can be seen as a catalyst for future success's and rolemodels that other local girls in the region can aspire to"
