Three Dumfries and Galloway Girls were recently called up for the Women's Under 15 International Challenge double header against Germany. Lois Heuchan (Castle Douglas), Emily McKerlie and Hayley Crosbie (both Dumfries) were selected to make their debut on the International stage in the recent games held at the New Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, Motherwell.

All three girls have been a product of the Dumfries Girls FC system who have recently been awarded the Scottish FA Standard Quality Mark Award with Hayley currently playing her trade with Celtic.

All three Girls played some part in both games with Hayley and Emily forming a defensive partnership and Lois building upon her substitute appearance in the first game to grab a place in the starting eleven in the second fixture.

Scottish FA Football Development Officer for Dumfries and Galloway Robbie Totten said "to have three girls from this area represent their country at this age is something special and fantastic for the region."

"It's hoped they can be seen as a catalyst for future success's and role models that other local girls in the region can aspire to"
