The Perth Saltires Futsal Club, hosting one of seven preliminary rounds in the 2011 UEFA Futsal Cup at the Bell’s Sports Centre in Perth, had a challenging start in their first match versus KMF Bajo Pivljanin (Montenegro).
The Futsal club, who are representing Scotland at the event for the second year in a row, gave a great account of themselves against the exciting side from Eastern Europe.
Going in at half time with the scores level they eventually succumbed to the team from Montenegro who finished strongly to secure a 6-0 victory.
In the other fixture in Group A, it was another exhilarating affair with FS Ilves Tampere (Finland) coming out on top 8-4 against SD Croatia Berlin (Germany).
Host club, Perth Saltires, will now face SD Croatia Berlin in the second round of fixtures.
