Scotland Women’s Under-23s closed out the May international window with an impressive 2-1 win over Iceland. Bayley Hutchison and Jenny Smith scored during a dominant second-half display to secure the victory.

The two sides met a few days earlier in the first encounter of the international friendly double-header at Falkirk Stadium. This time the visitors snared a late equaliser to finish with the scoreline tied at 2-2. Maria McAneny pulled Scotland level from the spot and then Jodi McLeary fired the young team ahead from close range on 66 minutes.

Mia McAulay and Charlotte Newsham were called into the senior squad due to injuries as SWNT ended their UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign with a 1-1 draw away to the Netherlands. McAulay and Newsham were replaced by Tiree Burchill and Megan Wearing.
Michael McArdle’s side will return to action in October.
