Both Scotland Women’s Under-17s and Under-19s have progressed to the elite round of UEFA qualifying.

 

Pauline MacDonald took charge of the Under-17s for the first time in three fixtures where they overcame Slovakia in their opening match with Leah Fleming scoring the only goal of the match after half an hour.

 

Scotland then secured their qualification to the elite round stage with a 4-0 win over Latvia. Elena Santoyo Brown bagged a brace with Morgan Cross and Sadie Mitchell also notching.

 

The Under-19s, led by Pauline Hamill for the first time in competitive fixtures travelled to Buk in Hungary to play the hosts, Armenia and Turkey.

The Women's Under-19s recently played in the European Finals this summer in Belfast where they narrowly missed out on a quarter-final spot.

They narrowly emerged to reach the elite round after winning their opening game against Armenia 2-0 before losing 2-0 against Hungary and drawing against Turkey in their final fixture.
