Stadium Rules & Regulations

Age Restrictions / Babies in Arms

Any supporter under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

There is no Baby’s in Arms policy at Hampden Park, each person entering the stadium must have a valid ticket for the match, regardless of age.

Anti-Social Behaviour

The Scottish FA are committed to creating a safe, secure, comfortable, and enjoyable matchday experience for all fans visiting the National Stadium. The Scottish FA are also deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment, free of discrimination and harassment.

Supporters can report any unacceptable conduct by texting the Stadium Control Room on +447700 170 820. Please include a description of the incident taking place and your seat details.

Bag Policy

Bags are permitted within the stadium if they adhere to the following rules:

  • No larger than A4 (this is in reference to the bag itself- bags that are half full or folded to reduce the size will not be accepted)
  • Bags will be searched by Stadium Authorities before entry to the turnstiles
  • Handbags are acceptable within the above parameters

We do not have a bag storage facility at the stadium, so if your bag is not within the guidelines, you will be denied entry.

Supporters that need to bring medical equipment with them to attend the match must inform Stadium Authorities via email for approval prior to the match.

Banners & Flags

Supporters bringing flags into the stadium should follow the guidelines below:

  • They must not contain illegal/objectionable images or wording.
  • Any poles must not exceed 1 metre in length and should be no thicker than someone’s pinkie.
  • There is no size limit, but any flag/banner of a ‘surfing’ nature must be fire retardant and the spectators concerned must provide written proof of same if required by stewards/police. Such flags/banners can only be unfurled before the match and at half-time. They must not be held overhead during the game itself.
  • Only national flags of the competing international teams will be permitted.

Flags and banners that do not meet these conditions will not be permitted entry.

Drums

Supporters bringing drums into the stadium should follow the guidelines below:

  • They must be able to be searched by stadium authorities.
  • They must have prior permission from stadium authorities to be brought into the stadium.

Entry Checks

Each visitor is obligated to present their entrance ticket or authorisation pass upon entry to the premises to the control and security service without being requested to do so and must also hand over these documents upon request.

Upon entry to the premises each visitor agrees to a check of his or her person, containers and bags. Persons who refuse to undergo a check of his or her person, containers and bags may be refused entry to the stadium.

The control and security service are authorised to search persons - if necessary, through the use of technical equipment - to determine whether they represent a security risk as a result of alcohol or drug consumption or the carrying of weapons or dangerous or flammable goods. This inspection also applies to other objects brought by the visitor.

Persons who cannot prove their permission to be on the premises and persons who present a security risk shall be denied entry and prevented from accessing the premises. The same shall apply to persons who are subject to a stadium ban applied within Scotland. Visitors who have been denied entry shall have no claim to reimbursement of the ticket price.

Ground Regulations

 [ ]("the Ground")

ENTRY TO THIS GROUND, WHETHER ON PAYMENT OR OTHERWISE, SHALL BE DEEMED FOR ALL PUPOSES TO CONSTITUTE AN UNQUALIFIED ACCEPTANCE TO BE BOUND BY AND AN UNDERTAKING TO COMPLY WITH THESE GROUND REGULATIONS AND RELEVANT FOOTBALL RULES.

  1. All matches are played in accordance with the RULES AND REGULATIONS of The Scottish Football Association, The Scottish Professional Football League and, where applicable, the Regulations of FIFA/UEFA Competitions ("Football Bodies" and "Football Rules"). Capitalised words and phrases in these ground regulations ("Ground Regulations"), except where herein defined, have the meanings given to them in the Rules and Regulations of The Scottish Professional Football League; a copy of which is available at: http://spfl.co.uk/docs/

  2. PLAY OR AN EVENT cannot be guaranteed to take place on any particular day or at any particular time and the relevant Home Club ("Club/Event Organiser") at the match concerned ("the Match") or event in the stadium to which these Regulations apply ("the Ground") reserves the right to change its advertised fixtures without prior notice and without liability.

  3. All TICKETS for Matches ("Tickets") sold/issued ("Allotted") by or on behalf of the Club/Event Organiser are issued on the express conditions that no Ticket holder shall sell or transfer same for a higher price than appears on the face of the Ticket. In the event of any breach of this regulation, the Club/Event Organiser reserves the right to cancel each Ticket concerned and to retain any money paid on Allotment.

  4. In the event of a MATCH BEING ABANDONED after having kicked-off, you may be entitled to a refund of the admission charge paid in the determination of the Club/Event Organiser acting reasonably. Where a Match is abandoned before the expiry of the first half, admission arrangements for the re-arranged fixture will be issued to those who attend the abandoned Match. The arrangements in cases where the Match is abandoned after the expiry of the first half shall be a matter for the discretion of the Club/Event Organiser.

  5. In the event of a MATCH BEING POSTPONED, for any reason, before having kicked off, any Ticket purchased for the Match will be valid on the postponed date.
