Category Four Development Referee

A referee who has demonstrated that they will be able to satisfy the requirements and qualities of a future Category 4 Referee or Category 3 Development Referee.

The Category 4 Development Referee will have passed the Advanced Referee Examination set by the Scottish FA in the season or year prior to nomination to the List of Referees and will also have met the performance and fitness requirements expected of a Category 4 Referee and/or a Category 3 Development Referee.

  • Scottish Welfare FA
  • Scottish Schools FA
  • Scottish Women's Football
  • Club Academy Scotland Football
  • Highland Under-17 League*
  • Lowland & East of Scotland Under-20 League*
  • SWFL Championship

*Subject to the discretion of the Scottish FA.
