Category Two Referee

A referee who has the potential to meet the standards expected of a Category 1 Referee, subject to demonstrating the requisite standards of performance and fitness.

A Category 2 Referee can officiate in the following:

• The Scottish Cup*
• SWPL 1 & 2
• SPFL Development Leagues
• Highland Football League
• Lowland Football League
• East of Scotland League
• South of Scotland League
• Scottish Junior FA Football

*In the first and second rounds, subject to the discretion of the Scottish FA.

As assistant referee

• SPFL League 1
• SPFL League 2
