Scotland v England 1974
The 1974 British Home Championship Home Nations tournament was subject to rescheduled matches due to troubles in Northern Ireland. Scotland's campaign got off to a poor start with a narrow defeat to the Irish but got themselves back into the reckoning with a victory over Wales. Meanwhile biggest rivals England claimed victory over both the Irish and the Welsh. England were clear favourites going into the final game only needing a draw but Scotland won 2-0 to take the tournament title at a packed Hampden Park.
