Gordon Strachan today announced his Scotland squad for the upcoming matches against Italy and France, as he prepares for the start of the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifiers later this year.
The squad marks a return from injury for Crystal Palace’s James McArthur, as well as a second call-up to the national team for Heart of Midlothian defender Callum Paterson.
Rangers duo Lee Wallace and Barrie McKay have been chosen for the double-header along with Hibernian’s John McGinn, who was Man of the Match in Scotland’s victory over Denmark in March.

They will play Italy in Malta’s Ta’ Qali National Stadium on Sunday, 29th May and complete their summer tour against France in Stade Saint-Symphorien, Metz, on Saturday, 4th June.
