Scotland Women’s National Team will face Germany, the Netherlands and Austria in the second edition of the UEFA Women’s Nations League. The first matches will take place in February 2025 and will be followed by fixtures in April and May/June.
Pedro Martinez Losa’s side secured promotion back to ‘League A’ upon completion of the UEFA European Qualification group stages earlier this year, a campaign which ended with Scotland undefeated and in pole position in their group.
Scotland are now two games away from qualification for next summer’s European finals in Switzerland. After dispatching of Hungary across two games last month, the second round of play-off qualifiers culminate in a double-header against Finland later this month.

After the qualification stages for the European Championships is completed, attention quickly turns to the Nations League in early 2025. The groups will determine which four teams progress to the finals and also promotion and relegation between the leagues ahead of the European Qualifiers phase for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil.
Draw reaction:
Scotland Head Coach, Pedro Martinez Losa: "It’s good to be competing at the highest level of women’s football. We knew any opponent would be challenging in ‘League A’ but we are looking forward to playing the Netherlands again, as well as Austria and Germany.
"All three teams will provide very different types of challenges but we’ll be prepared. In my time, we’ve never played against Germany so personally that’s very exciting and we’re ready as a group to challenge ourselves. We respect each of our opponents and we know it certainly won’t be easy.
"The team is in a great place right now. We’re on a run of 8 games unbeaten and we’ve conceded just one goal during the European Qualifiers, so we have fantastic momentum and we want to carry that on as long as possible.
"For now, we’re focused on the two games coming up against Finland - securing a place in Switzerland next summer is our only focus at this moment."
How do the group stages work?
All matches in the league stage are played according to a league system, with each team playing one home match and one away match against each of the other teams in its group.
