Michael McArdle has named his under-19 side that will compete in the early round qualifiers in Hungary later this month.

The young team have been drawn in Group A7 and will face the Netherlands, Sweden and Hungary as they look to secure progression to the next stage of qualification for the 2025 European Championships which will be hosted in Poland next summer.

The group secured promotion back to ‘League A’ earlier this year after a dominant display in League B. Back-to-back wins against Lichtenstein, Cyprus and Albania without conceding a goal paved the way for an immediate return to the top-flight.

The group were last in action in October in the Slovenia Nations Cup. The friendly tournament saw the young team lose 1-0 to Slovenia and Romania respectively, as well as securing a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Croatia.
