The Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup Quarter-Final Draw took place at Hampden Park on Monday evening, with singer-songwriter and presenter Stephanie Cheape joining host Eilidh Barbour to draw the ties.

Nine-time winners Glasgow City were drawn away to Heart of Midlothian in the pick of the matches.

Boroughmuir Thistle, who knocked out SPWL1 side Dundee United on Sunday, have been rewarded with a home tie against Motherwell.

The other SWPL2 side St Johnstone host Aberdeen, while holders Rangers are at home to Spartans.

The four ties will be played on the weekend of Sunday, 9 March.

Speaking after the draw, Cheape said: "It's a bit nerve-wracking but I really enjoyed doing that. I was actually at Hampden Park last year to help promote the new shirt and some of the matches so it was good to be back.

"I used to play football when I was younger but there were less opportunities so it's great to see the progress and having competitions like this, with the Semi-Final and Final at the National Stadium, it's incredible to see.

"I'm really excited to come to see Scotland Women play Netherlands in a few weeks as well."

The singer-songwriter is also releasing her first album next this year and she revealed it has been over four years in the making.

She added: "I've got my debut album, 'Curse of the Eldest Daughter', coming out in the summer which is hugely exciting. It's taken three or four years to write the album, just with refining it and making sure it feels right.

"I'm a bit of a perfectionist and life gets in the way, plus the pandemic, but I'm happy with how it looks and how authentic it feels.

"I think it'll resonate with a lot of women as well as it's really centred around the experiences of life as a woman and I'm excited to see how it's received."
