Scotland Women’s A Squad Training Camp
Friday 23nd – Sunday 25th January, 2015
Anna Signeul today confirmed the players chosen for the Women’s A Squad Training Camp at the end of January.
Both Glasgow City and Hibernian are heavily represented in the squad, with 15 players coming from the two teams. Rachel Harrison and Kerry Montgomery from Spartans are also in the squad.
The squad also features five players who represented Scotland Women’s Under-19s at the European Championships last summer, with Megan Cunningham, Chloe Arthur, Fiona Brown, Abbi Grant and Caroline Weir all called up to the three-day camp.
2015 promises to be an important year, as Scotland kick-off their campaign to qualify for the UEFA Women's Euro 2017 in the Netherlands.
Squad update 21/01/15: Forwards Suzanne Mulvey and Julie Fleeting have been added to the training camp squad.
Fleeting returns to the squad for the first time since scoring the only goal of the game in a friendly against Belgium in August 2011. Scotland's all-time top scorer, with 116 strikes in 120 appearances, was a national team stalwart from the age of 15, before taking some time out of football following the birth of her daughters.
