Congratulations to the St Machar Under 14 Football Team who won the Sportsman’s League Trophy in a great match against Harlaw Academy on Thursday 11 March 2010. The St Machar pupils played very well, winning with a second half goal five minutes before the end to clinch a 1 – 0 victory. Well done to all the players who were a credit to themselves and the school! The players involved in this game are all members of the Scottish FA School of Football which involves daily coaching sessions during curricular time for these St Machar Academy pupils. Many of these players were not involved with school teams in the past, they deserve great credit for their dedication to the coaching sessions which ultimately has enabled them to go on and win a trophy for their school.
