The Scotland Men's National Team squad has been confirmed for the forthcoming friendly double-header.

We host Iceland at Hampden Park before making the trip to Liechtenstein, as Head Coach Steve Clarke steps up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

There's a first call-up for Hibernian striker Kieron Bowie, who has been a standout for Scotland's Under-21s. He is one of seven uncapped players in the squad, with Robby McCrorie, Cieran Slicker, Connor Barron, Josh Doig, Andy Irving and Lennon Miller all aiming to pull on the Scotland jersey for the first time at senior level.

Angus Gunn returns to the squad although fellow goalkeeper Craig Gordon misses out through injury.

There is also a welcome return for Nathan Patterson, who has not featured for Scotland since March 2024. He is one of four Scottish FA JD Performance School graduates in the squad, alongside Billy Gilmour, Max Johnston and Barron.

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney, who sits on 49 caps, will be aiming to make his 50th appearance for his country in June.

Week of Football

Today marks the launch of the Scottish FA's Week of Football, and this year’s theme says it all – Let’s Enjoy Football!

Once again, we're calling on all our amazing community clubs, volunteers, players, coaches, families, and everyone who makes our game so special to get involved and help us shine a spotlight on the incredible work happening across Scottish football.

With your help we want to showcase the passion, effort and joy that takes place on pitches, in clubhouses, and across communities every single week.

You can download the Week of Football toolkit here.

You can download the Week of Football social media support assets here.

Throughout the week, we'll be celebrating different aspects of the game with a daily theme, highlighting the people, places, and programmes that help football thrive from the Borders to the Highlands and everywhere in between.

We're also thrilled to announce the return of our popular School Writing Competition, giving young people a chance to share their football stories and creativity.

This year, the competition is linked to the Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup Final, offering a brilliant opportunity to engage with the women’s game and celebrate its growing impact.

Teachers, pupils and parents can download full competition details here.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributes to Scottish football – whether you're lacing up your boots, volunteering your time, cheering from the sidelines or creating safe and welcoming environments for all.

This week is for you. Let's make some noise, share the joy, and most importantly -
Let's Enjoy Football.
