UEFA European Under-17 Championship Qualifying Round

Scotland Under-17s defeated Portugal 1-0 in their final UEFA European Championship Qualifying Round match to finish the group in first place and with maximum points.

Kerr McInroy’s strike just eight minutes from time was enough to see the Scots finished top of Group 10 following a 6-0 win over Malta and 1-0 defeat of Wales earlier in the group.

The win also guarantees Scotland will be seeded when the elite round draw is made in December as the team moves on step closer to a place at next summer’s finals in Croatia and fourth appearance in as many years.
