Matchday Information For Fans
We recommend arriving early by public transport as there is no parking in the immediate vicinity of Hampden Park, as it is based in a residential area.
We have compiled some useful information so you can plan your arrival and how to enter the stadium to enjoy the match.
STADIUM ARRIVAL
Pre-Arrival to Stadium
Before heading to Hampden Park, we recommend that supporters have the following completed:
- Tickets must be assigned to each spectator for the app to produce the barcode.
- Your mobile phone is sufficiently charged for the duration of the match.
- Tickets for public transport are purchased in advance to reduce queuing at the relevant stations/bus stops.
Transport
Train
The nearest train station is Mount Florida, located 300m from the stadium.
On matchday’s there may be express or increased services between Glasgow Central & Mount Florida.
Mount Florida is an accessible stop with step free access and elevator.
Mount Florida Train Station Facilities
King’s Park train station is also a 15-minute walk from the stadium, however there is no accessible facilities.
Bus
There are multiple bus routes that stop at Hampden Park, or in the nearby area.
Bus Routes: 7, 7A, 31, 74, 75, 90
Car Park
The car parks around the stadium are only used for accessible, hospitality and operational purposes.
Car parking passes are accredited and access to parking will only be granted with the correct parking pass.
Bicycle
There is a bicycle shed located in the south stand.
Roadworks
We encourage all supporters to arrive early and allow sufficient time to get to and from the stadium.
We strongly encourage the use of public transport, as traffic can be busy if there are roadworks in the surrounding area of the stadium.

Walking
Hampden Park is a 50-minute walk from Glasgow City Centre. The walk is relatively flat with not too many hills.
STADIUM CAMPUS
Entering the Stadium
The turnstiles normally open 90 mins before kick-off, however depending on the match this may vary. Please check the Scottish FA website and social media channels for any match day details.
Your ticket will indicate the bank of turnstiles that you can enter. To reduce queuing please make use of all the available turnstiles on your ticket.
Once you have entered the stadium, your ticket will indicate the passageway to enter to get to the seating deck.
Stadium Campus Facilities
There is a selection of food vendors outside the stadium campus where supporters can purchase food and drink. Please note, these cannot be taken into the stadium.
There are also banks of portable toilets located around the stadium campus for supporters use.
Fanzone
For Scotland Men’s A matches, a fan zone may be organised in the purple car park that has food vendors and entertainment for supporters (weather permitting). This is on a first come, first served basis. Check our website and social media for details.
INSIDE THE STADIUM
Kiosks
There is food kiosk located at the back of the stadium concourses.
Accessible users in the South Lower Stand have access to adapted counter kiosks and accessible toilets within that section.
Hampden Park is a cashless stadium. We accept debit and credit cards at all kiosks as well as contactless and mobile phone payments.
Smoking
Hampden Park is a smoke-free venue, this includes the use of cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and vapes.
Smoking is not permitted within the stadium and supporters found doing so may be ejected from the stadium.
