Saturday did not fail to live up to expectations in the William Hill Scottish Cup, with the card of fourth round matches producing upsets and drama throughout the afternoon.
Annan Athletic produced the biggest surprise of the afternoon, as the League 2 side hammered Hamilton Academical of the Premiership 4-1 at Galabank.
Dundee United avoided a banana skin at the Exclesior Stadium, with a Blair Spittal free-kick proving to be enough to overcome Airdireonians.
Last season's winners, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, were held to a 0-0 by Stirling Albion, while their Highland rivals Ross County also failed to beat lower league opposition, drawing 2-2 with Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park.
Motherwell eased past Highland League representatives Cove Rangers 5-0, while in the early kick-off 10-man Linlithgow Rose came back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Forfar Athletic.
In the three all-Championship fixtures, Hibernian defeated Raith Rovers 2-0, while Greenock Morton and Dumbarton booked their places in Monday's draw with victories over Livingston and Queen of the South respectively.
Elsewhere, an early Craig Slater goal for Kilmarnock knocked out the 2014 winners St Johnstone, while Hearts booked their place in the fifth round for the first time in four years with a 1-0 victory over Aberdeen.
On Sunday, Rangers and Celtic emphatically secured their place in Monday's draw, the Gers beating Cowdenbeath 5-1 at Ibrox and Ronny Deila's side defeating Stranraer 3-0.
