The William Hill Scottish Cup Sixth Round tie between Inverness Caley Thistle and Raith Rovers has been postponed due to heavy overnight rain.

A pitch inspection took place early this morning where the Caledonian Stadium pitch was deemed to be unplayable. The tie will now take place on Tuesday 10th March at 7.45pm.

In a statement on their website Inverness Caley Thistle said: “As always player safety is paramount to any decision taken but following incessant rain throughout the night, which we had hoped would bypass Inverness and with the impending heavy rain forecast for later today it would be unfair to ask fans of both clubs to travel if the game was at all in doubt.

The club apologise for any inconvenience for the postponement and the game will be rescheduled for Tuesday 10th March at 7-45pm. Please retain your tickets for Tuesdays match. Any refunds required will be dealt with on Monday.”
