Dundee United 0-3 Celtic
Tannadice played host to one of the ties of the round as Dundee United faced Celtic. In the end though it was a convincing win for the visitors who took an early lead through a Joseph Thomson volley on eleven minutes. A Jamie Robson own goal doubled Celtic’s advantage before half-time and Paul McMullan rounded off the scoring with half an hour to go.

Hibernian 3-1 Kilmarnock
There was winter sunshine of Leith as the Edinburgh side secured a 3-1 victory over visiting Kilmarnock. The Ayrshire side took the lead a minute into the second half thanks to Dean Hawkshaw, but Hibs responded positively and were level with half an hour to go thanks to Taylor Hendry. Aaron Dunsmore gave the Edinburgh side the lead ten minutes later and Neil Martyniuk finished proceedings with one penalty scored and one missed in the final few minutes of the match.

St Mirren 7-0 Heart of Midlothian
St Mirren dispatched last year’s finalists in comfortable fashion with a 7-0 victory at St Mirren Park. The hosts took a three goal lead in the space of five minutes thanks to Mark Barrowman, Lewis Morgan, and Adam Brown. To make things worse for the visitors they were reduced to ten men during this time with Liam Gordon seeing red for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity. The Paisley outfit added a further four goals in the second half to book their place in the last eight.

Queen of the South 0-2 Rangers
Holders Rangers continued their defence of the Little Big Shot Youth Cup with a 2-0 victory over Queen of the South. A Scot Whiteside header gave the visitors the lead early in the second half and a Ryan Hardie goal minutes from the final whistle gave the holders confirmation of their place in the last eight.
Hamilton Academical 10-0 Selkirk
Hamilton progressed to the last eight of the Little Big Shot Youth Cup over Selkirk with a record 10-0 win for the club, beating their previous rounds effort of 9-0. A lengthy stoppage in play for treatment allowed Hamilton to grab five goals in added on time to increase their early 1-0 lead from the penalty spot. They added a further four goals in second half with Danny Armstrong finding the net on an impressive four occasions throughout the match.
Greenock Morton 4-4 Queen’s Park (QP won 4-3 on penalties)
Queen’s Park eventually came away winners on penalties over Greenock Morton in the closest game of Round 4 in the Little Big Shot Youth Cup. The visitors went in at half-time ahead thanks to Billy Mortimer, but looked set to be knocked out as Morton took a 2-1 lead into the final moments of the match. However, Mortimer was on hand to grab a late equaliser. There was a further four goals shared equally in the final 30 minutes, including a Mortimer hat-trick to take the game to penalties. Thankfully for the Queen’s Park their keeper Sam George was in fine form to save three penalties and help them secure a 4-3 win from 12 yards.
St Johnstone 2-0 Dunfermline Athletic
St Johnstone saw off Fife outfit Dunfermline thanks to two late second-half goals. Centre-back Ally Gilchrist fired Saints ahead on the 76th minute from a corner and Kyle Lander confirmed their victory four minutes later to book the Perth side’s place in the last eight.
Ayr United 7-1 Annan Athletic
Ayr United eased into the last eight of the competition, with a comprehensive victory over fellow South West side Annan Athletic. The Somerset Park crowd were treated to a goal packed afternoon, with United running out 7-1 winners. The star of the show was Ryan Nisbet, who scored four times. Also on target for The Honest men were Jarrod Kiefer, Craig McGuffie and Peter McGill.
