There were shocks aplenty in the William Hill Scottish Cup Second Round as two League Two sides were beaten in the Highlands.

Formartine United beat League Two Clyde 2-0 while another Highland League side, Huntly, beat East Stirling at Christie Park.

In the West of Edinburgh, Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale held Montrose to a 1-1 draw ensuring the replay at Links Park next month.

There will be no fairytale Scottish Cup run for Lowland League Spartans though, they lost 1-0 away to Elgin City.
