16 matches took place across Sunday afternoon as the Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup continued with the Third Round.

SWPL1 sides Montrose and Dundee United were the first sides to book their place in the Round Four Draw, securing 3-0 and 1-0 victories against East Fife and Inverness Caledonian Thistle respectively, in the day's early kick offs.

The day's most intriguing game was the Edinburgh Derby between Hearts and Hibernian at Oriam and it was last year's finalists, Hearts, who came out on top. In a tense match, Georgia Timms' 20 yard strike put the hosts in front, and although Eric Clachers saved Fiona Robertson's penalty, Hibs could not find a leveller as Eva Olid's side progressed.

The other all-SWPL1 match took place at Petershill Park as Brian Graham's Partick Thistle hosted Glasgow City. Lisa Evans, Natalia Wrobel and Emily Whelan were all on target for the 9-times Scottish Cup winners, with Cara Henderson responding in vain for the hosts as Glasgow City won 3-1.

Holders Rangers - who defeated Hearts in last season's final at Hampden - incredibly scored 24 goals away to Westdyke, with Jane Ross and Kirsty Howat top-scoring for Jo Potter's side.

2023 victors Celtic were also comfortable winners, winning 13-0 away to Glasgow Girls and Women, with Maria McAneny and Hana Kerner both grabbing hat-tricks.

Elgin City produced arguably the shock of the round as the SWF North side defeated Championship outfit Dryburgh 1-0 at the Gleaner Arena.

City are the sole remaining SWF North side, while Bonnyrigg Rose are the only representatives from League One after they ran out 2-1 winners away to Greenock Morton.

The other remaining SWF side are Championship high-fliers Falkirk who beat Renfrew 2-0.
