A 19-player squad has been named for this month’s friendly double-header in Wales. The young team will travel south of the border for a 5-day training camp between 19 – 24 February.
Glasgow City’s Rachel Murchie has been called up for the first time with Laura Berry making the step up from the under-17s. The pair are currently on international duty in Spain for the MIMA Cup. Pauline MacDonald’s side earned a 3-2 win over Sweden earlier this week to secure a spot in the final against England on Thursday.
The Wales double-header will serve as preparation for the under-19s ahead of round two European qualifiers which begin in April. They’ll face Albania, Cyprus and Lichtenstein in Group B.
