The remaining eight teams will battle it out on Sunday as the Women's Scottish Cup reaches the Quarter-final stage.

The stakes could not be higher for the teams with a prize of playing at the National Stadium on offer for the victors.

Both Semi-final ties in the revamped competition will be played at Hampden Park for the first time. The matches will take place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23, April.

The Quarter-final action gets underway at Cliftonhill as Glasgow Women host Motherwell.

Glasgow Women are rock bottom of the SWPL1 after a tough season but they have found life easier in the Scottish Cup. They have scored six goals without conceding in their two matches against Hamilton and Ayr United.

Motherwell were knocked out in the last eight of the Sky Sports Cup earlier in the season and they will be looking to go one better in this competition. They faced a potential banana skin in the last round against SWPL2 leaders Montrose but they made light work of the tasks by scoring four unanswered goals.

After being pipped to the top six in the SPWL1 by Partick Thistle last week, a trip to Hampden would go a long way towards softening the blow.

Eva Olid's Hearts side are enjoying their best ever season but they face a challenge against Celtic in the afternoon's second match. Currently fourth in the SPWL1 table, they will take confidence from a narrow 2-1 loss to Celtic in January while they also secured a creditable 0-0 draw with Rangers in the same month.

Celtic won the Scottish Cup last season though and - with Glasgow City six points clear at the summit of SWPL1 - Fran Alonso's side may see this competition as their best chance of silverware this season.

Rangers have already lifted a trophy this season as they beat Hibernian 2-0 in the Sky Sports Cup Final. They face the same opposition on Sunday at Broadwood.

The Gers have endured a mixed 2023 so far, dropping points to Hearts, Glasgow City and Celtic in the league. They have made light work of the lower league opponents they have faced in the cup though, scoring 24 goals in two matches against Stirling University and Rossvale.

Hibs have won this competition on eight occasions though and they are enjoying a good cup run, seeing off Spartans and East Fife with seven unanswered goals to reach this stage.

The fourth tie sees SPWL1 leaders Glasgow City travel to Kilmarnock. Killie are the lowest ranked side remaining in the competition - currently sitting third in SPWL2.

They have seen off Westdyke and St Johnstone to reach the Quarter-finals. Both wins came with the same 1-0 scoreline.

They face a juggernaut in Glasgow City, who have been imperious in the SPWL1 this season - winning 20 out of their 22 league matches. Leanne Ross has recently been appointed head coach on a permanent basis after impressing while interim.

City's only blip this campaign came in their defeat in the Sky Sports Cup so they will be hoping to make up for it by going all the way in the Scottish Cup. With 133 Scotland caps, Ross is no stranger to the National Stadium and she will be eyeing a return there with City in the last four.
